Lead Hardware Developer* for Control Engineering in Power Electronics E-Mobility

Tasks that will support your personal growth:
  • Fully integrated implementation of exciting development projects in the eMobility and industrial environment
  • Development of control units for drive components, and for charging and converter technologies for hybrid and electric vehicles in accordance with ISO26262 or industrial applications in accordance with the applicable standards
  • Supervision of development activities from concept definition through development and testing, to system integration
  • Development of control algorithms for power electronics systems
  • Using simulation tools such as PLECS for system analyses and optimization
  • Definition of the concrete technical implementation within the projects, in the position of the hardware architect
  • Planning, coordination and securing drafts for hardware systems or components
  • Developing testing concepts, testing methods and testing strategies and designing implementing, executing and evaluating generic test cases
  • Working in a dynamic team and coordinating complex development tasks with a high degree of coordination effort and several interfaces
  • Technical management, supporting the technical development if the team, if required technical coaching
  • Taking on project management tasks for smaller (sub) projects and the possibility of advancing to management level
Your skills that will help us to get ahead:
  • A degree in electrical engineering, control engineering, ideally specializing in power electronics, or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in the definition, design, simulation, system optimization and technical project management, taking into consideration the EMC requirements of power electronics for vehicle engineering and in the industrial sector
  • Experience in system optimization in compliance with technological constraints, taking into account EMC requirements and the series production
  • Experience with the special challenges posed by the topologies of high-current and high-voltage controls and knowledge of the development of such control units
  • Excellent programming skills (C/C++) and expertise in digital signal processors DSP
  • Knowledge of standard tools such as PLECS, MATLAB and Altium Designer, also MS Office routine, a fluent command of business German and good English skills
