We all know the most famous self-driving car: K.I.T.T., a vehicle with artificial intelligence in the 1982 US TV series "Knight Rider". At the time, people thought it was exaggerated and smiled at some of the things K.I.T.T. could do. The driving of the future, and especially the new possibilities opened up by autonomous driving in terms of new forms of communication and virtual entertainment, are boundless.
EDAG has been assisting automobile manufacturers with developments related to piloted driving for a long time. For example, an EDAG Group team of around 60 functional safety and software development experts helped a major OEM and suppliers to take a next generation vehicle towards level 3. Level 3?
