OPENING OF NEW EDAG DESIGN CONCEPT STUDIO IN INGOLSTADT

On 8th October 2015, engineering service provider EDAG celebrated the opening of its extended design concept studio in Bunsenstraße in Ingolstadt, with over 100 guests from the worlds of politics and business. Harald Poeschke, COO of EDAG Engineering GmbH and Volker Fink, EDAG key account manager for Audi, welcomed guests from the worlds of politics and business, including Lord Mayor Dr. Christian Lösel and Hans Gressmann, Head of Audi's Model Making division.

This opening marks the expansion of EDAG's capacity for the early stage of automobi-le development: measuring over 5,000 m², the building has separate styling and presentation rooms, to enable several projects to be handled at one and the same time while still guaranteeing absolute confidentiality. The range of services on offer covers the production of peak precision data control, ergonomic, aero, design check, cubing and design models for product presentations at international motor shows or for customers' in-house decision-making processes.

The Audi City branch is one of EDAG's traditional locations. EDAG has had premises in Ingolstadt since 1978, and here the company works mainly for Audi, in the fields of vehicle development and systems engineering. Today, we have some 1,100 highly qualified employees at our offices in Ingolstadt and Gaimersheim (status as per 30.6.2015). With its fully integrated portfolio of vehicle and production plant development services, EDAG is one of the world's largest independent engineering partners to the automotive industry.

In addition, the company is also particularly committed to channeling energy into staff training, one of the main pillars of junior staff development. The Ingolstadt branch currently has approx. 70 young employees working on either an apprenticeship or a dual study course.
