EDAG ENGINEERING GMBH ACQUIRES DUTCH ENGINEERING COMPANY DUVEDEC EUROPE B.V.

With effect from 1st April, 2016, Wiesbaden engineering service provider EDAG Engineering GmbH is the new owner of DuvedeC Europe B.V., which has its head office in the Netherlands. This acquisition is a further extension of EDAG's site network in the European market, and enables the company to provide local presence and support in the Netherlands for the first time ever.

Founded in 1982, DuvedeC has successfully established its position as an engineering partner to European vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. Its current 18-strong workforce is based in Helmond, and provides engineering services in the field of interior and exterior development, mainly for the commercial vehicle industry.

"With the acquisition of DuvedeC, we are further extending our presence in Europe.
With Helmond – EDAG's 58th global location – we will strengthen our long-standing customer relations in the Benelux states and, and, by providing a local presence and support, improve our service," explains Jörg Ohlsen, EDAG CEO. "What is more, through this new branch, our customers in the Netherlands will, of course, have access to our global engineering network with a workforce of more than 8,100.

Since 1st April, 2016 Dr. Andreas Quanz, EDAG's key account manager for GM and commercial vehicles, has been responsible for the management of the Netherlands-based company.
