Concept Engineer (BIW)

In Vehicle Engineering, we apply our innovative spirit and over 50 years of expertise to advancing product development for the automotive industry. We are looking for your skills to maximize successful development in the future.

This will help you grow:

  • Develop BIW/Hang-on concepts, packaging layouts, and master section proposals.
  • Analyze Strak and create technically feasible engineering solutions.
  • Mentor and guide Concept Designers, and CAD Constructors. ( Team Size = 2+ Team Members )
  • Integrate manufacturing and assembly constraints into concept stage.
  • Review and apply feedback from feasibility studies and CAE teams.
  • Support Project Lead in concept freeze milestones.
  • Coordinate with CAD teams to convert concepts into full CAD models.
  • Ensure adherence to OEM guidelines, weight targets, and safety norms.
  • Conduct DMU checks and interface validation at concept level.

This is how you will help us move forward:

  • Should have Expertise in one of the  BIW/Hang-On domain-specific components, such as: Hood / Fender / Side Door / Tailgate / Roof / Underbody / BodySide
  • Knowhow about Sheet Metal Forming, Joining and Hemming Processes.
  • Should be able to read and understand all type of related reports.
  • Good knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFS, and sheet metal design rules.
  • Ability to interpret feasibility reports and CAE feedback.
  • Knowledge of tooling constraints, emboss, flange, hemming, and draft requirements.
  • Familiarity with sealing, kinematics, and panel build-up.
  • Familiarity with DMU, clash checks, and PLM systems (TC/Enovia).
  • Proficient in CATIA for concept modeling and section building.
