EMC-CENTER
EMC testing and certificates
For machines, devices and vehicles in the automotive, industry, health, household, construction and agriculture sectors.
The increasing complexity of vehicles and other technical devices requires more and more electromagnetic compatibility measurements to ensure that electrical components do not have a negative impact on the function of other components. The EDAG EMC center has the latest test equipment, which makes it possible to test cars, trucks, agricultural machinery, etc. in accordance with legal requirements.
The test standards applied by the EMC center are not limited to Germany, but can also test vehicles and devices according to international standards and carry out legally compliant certification. The test center for electromagnetic compatibility is TISAX-certified, offers the highest data protection and will also be accredited by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

test standards
Exemplary testing standards
- ECE R10
is an electromagnetic compatibility test for vehicles (Regulation 10, radio interference) and part of the UN/ECE for vehicles. This concerns vehicles that are to be registered in North America, Europe, and North Asia (excluding China).
- CISPR- 12, 16, 25
The CISPR publications deal with standardized methods for measuring electromagnetic interference. Numbers 12 and 25 relate to vehicles, boats and integrated combustion engines, while 16 relates more generally to radio interference. There are also European standards (EN550xx) and DIN standards (DIN VDE 0879-1 and -2).
- IEC/EN 61000-4-3
The standard describes the testing of the immunity of electrical and electronic devices (installations) to high-frequency electromagnetic fields and also defines the framework for the test process and structure.
- ISO 11451
specifies vehicle tests to determine the immunity of passenger cars and commercial vehicles to electrical interference from narrow-band electromagnetic radiation energy. The tests are carried out over a wide frequency range.
- ISO 11452
is a test procedure for electrical interference caused by electrostatic discharges in vehicles and vehicle components. A large number of possible sources of interference are described and tested.
- ISO 10605
The specification defines the test procedures for electrostatic discharges (ESD) that are required to evaluate electronic assemblies for use in vehicles. The discharges can occur during assembly, during service or through passengers.
- IEC 60601-1
The international standard describes the test procedures for the electromagnetic compatibility of medical devices. It is supplemented by numerous sub-standards. A new edition will be prepared from 2023.
