In September 2022, we proudly completed 30 years of presence in Brazil. In honor of this symbolic date, we created a video to remember.
After two years developing a VCU, we successfully delivered to our customers the first turnkey project in the electrical/electronic area.
Since 2017, we have executed several manufacturing engineering projects with virtual commissioning. In total, we have already put more than 200 robots into operation through virtual validation in twenty-four control systems (PLC) in four plants, helping our customers to significantly reduce costs, risks and installation time as well as time-to-market.
Celebration of 25 years of EDAG do Brasil with the distinguished presence of the Mayor of São Bernardo do Campo, Mr. Orlando Morando, the Secretary of Economy and Tourism, Mr. Hiroyuki Minami, Councilor Mr. Ary de Oliveira and the then CEO of the EDAG Group, Mr. Jürgen Vogt.
First re-engineering project for armored vehicles, including complete vehicles ballistics certification and automotive tests, thus maintaining the factory warranty for the end customer.
Tropicalization of a complete truck to meet the needs of the national Market, also including the production planning of the cabin and chassis with monitoring of the installations until start of production.
The project marked the start of the first complete development of a truck cab. The work covered every stage of the process, from the initial concept definition to the release of the designs for mass production, including the body, door, interior, and exterior systems.
EDAG do Brasil was honored with the Volkswagen do Brasil Supply Award for its commercial excellence.
EDAG decided to invest in its own headquarters in São Bernardo do Campo, in the state of São Paulo, at a time of strong growth in the automotive market. After nearly two years of construction, EDAG Brazil’s new headquarters was officially inaugurated at a ceremony attended by customers, partners, and public sector officials. Among the officials present was the then-mayor of São Bernardo do Campo, Maurício Soares.
For the third time (1995/97/98) EDAG do Brasil was honored with the General Motors do Brasil certificate of merit for its high quality engineering services.
We launched our first joint project with our parent company in Germany, focusing on the development of the body, doors, hoods, interior, and exterior, as well as three additional variants, bringing together Brazilian and German teams and clients.
EDAG do Brasil participated in the exhibition Febral (Brazil-Germany Technology Fair for Mercosur). The worldwide CEO of EDAG, Mr. Ewald Vollmer, received at our stand the then President of Brazil, Mr. Fernando Henrique Cardoso and the then President of Germany, Mr. Roman Herzog.
EDAG do Brasil was founded in September 1992 in São Bernardo do Campo/SP. The first projects were carried out for Volkswagen do Brasil.
